This project was for a graphic tee that I designed. Later, the name lent itself to my magazine project. This could be a promotional item for the magazine or a design that stands on its own.
Mock-up created in Photoshop utilizing blending options and layers to place the design on the t-shirt in a realistic way.
Front and back of graphic tee design. The tee used elements inspired by brutalist graphic design, but I wanted to tone it down a bit. The overlapping layers, barcode, and doberman on the back show more of a brutalist influence. I wanted the tee to be edgy, loud, and in your face. The doberman image lent itself nicely to this idea. For the fonts, I mixed Archivo Black with Sutturah Fat. Archivo shows the brutalism and the bubble-like letters of Sutturah Fat add contrast and graffiti-esque edge.
Here is the graphic tee one-sheet which includes the typography, color palette and visual elements of the design.
